Humanitarian Assistance to the Refugee people during the Lock down crisis

Mr. Mohana Das, 35, lives in Okkur Sri Lankan Refugee camp, Sivagangai District, Tamil Nadu. He is closely associated with the JRS–TN and renders his generous service through various means to the refugee people in his camp. With the monetary help of Rs.30,000 from the Communist Movement in Chennai he distributed the household provisions for the camp inmates. The package consisted of rice, wheat, noodle pockets, onion and tomato and was distributed to almost 220 families in the camp with the help of the youth. Mr. Amalraj, the youth club leader, helped in coordinating the work. Mr. Mohana Das also bought some cloth for making face masks for the people in the camp as well as the host community near the refugee camp. He stated: “Solidarity with Humanity is the need of the hour all over the world.”He also said that it was the smallest contribution from his part to prevent people from contracting the deadly Corona virus disease.
