So far, Jescom is responding to the pandemic by raising people’s awareness of Coronavirus (Covid19) using different communication platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Soundcloud and WhatsApp).
The main objectives of this campaign are:
– to raise awareness about Covid19, and,
– to spread the awareness of preventive measures against the virus.
The response is done through creating content such as infographics (online posters) which contain messages targeting Zimbabwean Catholic communities.
The messages are guided by the country’s Ministry of Health and Child Care guidelines and thematic areas and also resources from the World Health Organisation.
Other content formats include short videos, audio files and use of influencers to promote the content to a wider coverage.
Jescom is also live streaming masses from Our Lady of the Wayside Parish- where at the end of the masses, short messages of preventive measures are also flighted to remind the audience to live responsibly to protect themselves.
