COVID-19 isn't gone yet...

but our 244 online initiatives have grown into successful independent projects and so many new have been established following the example. We're unable to track all of them, so we've decided to turn this page into an archive and invite you to check the updated options at the local Jesuits' sites.

Online Youth Ministry from Singapore

This initiative comes from MAS - Malaysia-Singapore Region
With the suspension of Masses and parish activities with Covid-19, the youth community at the Church of St Ignatius in Singapore has moved online.

Ever since the closure of the physical church premises, the youth community of the Church of St. Ignatius in Singapore, De Vita Christi (DVC), has come up with different ways of moving our activities online – from intercessory prayer to bible study, and most importantly, mass and Eucharistic Adoration.

The chaplain, Fr. Ravi Michael SJ, has been celebrating mass with the youth over Zoom. This has allowed for greater participation virtually as the congregation can responding to the prayers, voice their petitions, proclaim the readings, and even singing some psalms and hymns “live”. It has lifted the spirits of the participants as they are about to see, interact with and pray together as a youth community “present” at the mass. Sometimes, their families and even their pets join in the Eucharistic celebration.
