The directives to reach out to those in need have been constant, but what has inspired us to do the needful is what we, at X-Tech and XIE, have seen “ordinary” people doing for those badly affected by the pandemic. Because of technical resources available in the internet, we did out a little bit on what many others were doing through the web. It was Mario’s brilliant idea to invite all to our place for Holy Week services and they could do so without moving from where they were. They from different parts of the world had merely watched the services on YouTube, but now they had only to download Zoom and actually participate in what was happening at our house chapel. Mario pre-assigned to various persons the scripture passages to be read, and the petitions to be made, and they could sing away all the hymns and make the necessary responses. All came in on time, and there was no lack of harmony in the singing. It is still astonishing to me that at the Easter Vigil we had the sung proclamation of “The Exsultet,” by Roy Pereira from Creighton in Omaha, Nebraska! Fabian’s homily was much appreciated. The house chapel had been turned into a virtual Church!
