Coming to the rescue of the rural poor

This initiative comes from MDU - Madurai
A generous and brave gesture on the part of the rural Jesuit college to reach out to the needy during the Corona virus total lockdown.

Arul Anandar College, a rural Jesuit College situated on the outskirts of Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, was able to reach out to 500 poverty-stricken families in and around Usilampatty  who have lost their means of livelihood due to the nCOVID-19  crisis. The affected people were mostly Gypsies and Dalits to whom food provisions worth about Rs. 400,000 were given.
